We have to admit that we really didn’t see the romance between Common and Jennifer Hudson coming. That said, now that we do see it, they look perfect together! The pair seem to be really happy in their new relationship, and we’re 100% here for it!
Telling the World
The pair made their relationship official on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Hudson introduced Common as a guest on the show, and he walked onto the stage with a bouquet of flowers for the star. Hudson then asked, “Now, we gotta get down to business, Mr. Common. I’m a host and so I have to ask you this question ’cause everybody always wanna know this — are you dating anyone?” To which Common responded, “I’m in a relationship that is with one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life. […] This relationship is a happy place for me.” They then let the audience in on the joke that they were talking about each other.
There Were Rumors
The actors were spotted hanging out together in Chicago back in 2022, sparking rumors that there was something going on between them. However, at the time, Hudson insisted that wasn’t the case. She had said, “People create their narratives of it and it’s like, okay, you know, how you feel. We shot a film together, and [Common] played my husband. We gotta eat in between those moments.”
Well, either she was telling a little white lie back then, or her feelings have seriously changed. Either way, we’re happy for the couple and wish them the best!
